When Windsor Castle tragically caught fire in 1992, the charred main beams were the only part of the kitchen’s lantern roof to survive.
The Windsor Castle restoration provided an interesting challenge. Prior to rebuilding the roof, with its complex design, ornate spandrels and decorative carvings, we first began by researching historical diagram’s to ascertain what had been lost in the fire. Fortunately for Carpenter Oak & Woodland, we are privileged to employ some of the most respected and knowledgeable specialists in the industry. After months of painstaking work restoring the roof for the Windsor Castle restoration, we think the results speak for themselves.
